For many native cultures, the eagle is a symbol of truth, majesty, strength and wisdom. Because they fly so high, they are closer to the Creator and are a fine symbol of purity. The eagle symbol on this pendant is recessed and textured onto a polished bar. The size is 2⅜ inches long by ⅜ inches wide. The double sided pendant is quite thick, ¼ inch deep at the ends, narrowing to ⅛ inch in the center. Designed by Corrine Hunt, part of the Sea to Sky Collection. Made of a pewter alloy with a touch of silver on an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain. Made in Canada.

  • Eagle
The Eagle is one of the most powerful and important symbols in Pacific Northwest Indian art and life. Eagle down, a symbol of peace and friendship, was sprinkled before guests in welcome dances and on other ceremonial occasions; eagle feathers were used in many rituals and worn on masks, headdresses and dance aprons.
  • Sea to Sky
