The two headed sea serpent Sisiutl was said to kill and eat all humans who saw him. Washing in its blood turned a person to stone, or made a warrior's skin impenetrable. The Sisiutl was often painted on the front of the longhouse, facing the sea, to ward off enemies. Sisiutl is portrayed on this tapered sterling silver bracelet. The width is 1 inch, devolved length is 5-1/2 inches. The bracelet is designed to fit comfortably on a slim wrist. Made in USA. |
