The Islender was the sweater of choice of the Arctic and Antarctic explorers in the early 1900's. The bulky knit sweater fits on the body, but by virtue of the elasticity of the wool and the give in the knitted fabric, is not at all constraining. Made from pure new wool, with a crew neck, ribbed cuffs and waist. Back length of a size L(42) is 27 inches. The weight is about 1 lb. 14 oz., with a bulky knit. Color is Natural White with Anthracite (charcoal) patterning. Hand washable. Made in Norway.
