Once commonly carried in the saddlebag by cowboys of the old west, the pocket snake has not been available for many years. The pocket snake is primarily a whip for occasional use, as in loading cattle. It has a small butt diameter (approximately 5/8 inch), and will roll up small enough to be carried in a pocket. The shot load extends well down the whip. 12 plait kangaroo overlay, finely cut. The 6 foot length is measured from the butt to the end of the braid, not including the fall. Our own production, hand crafted in the USA. Color is Natural Tan. A whip maintenance kit is supplied with this whip, consisting of a spare fall, 5 crackers and a 6 oz. tub of Pecard Leather Dressing, with directions for fall and cracker replacement. |
