This hat is suggested as a darker version of our Feather-weight Panama, perfect for less formal occasions such as a trip to your local cafe. They have been given a water-resistant treatment, making them somewhat darker and a little more dense than our regular feather-weights. Although not rain hats, if you are caught in a shower and get the hat damp, the hat should be adjusted for shape and dried without heat.

The Café Panama is hand woven from the toquilla fiber in the Brisa pattern, and blocked and finished in Cuenca, Ecuador. It has a cotton sweatband and a black cotton puggaree. The height of the crown is 4-1/2 inches at the sides. The neat brim edge is back-woven, rather than turned over and sewn. This hand finished brim is about 3 inches wide on the sides, 2-3/4 inches at the front and back. There is a reinforcement inside at the front pinch, but the hat should be picked up by the brim. Color is Cream, slightly darker than the Natural color Feather-weight Panama. Woven and finished in Ecuador. Discontinued style.
