Akubra's Lifestyle Collection use Pliofelt, a soft, pliable, pure fur felt developed specifically for crushable hats. The crowns are unlined with fabric sweatbands to allow the hats to be packed.

The Lifestyle Collection hats are real Akubras – good for sun or rain, "fan the fire, water the dog” hats. They are no-worries hats for all occasions — wear your hat when you need it, pack it in your suitcase or put it in the overhead bin in the airplane. The most convenient way to pack one of these hats is flat – just crush it flat. Do not put a sharp bend in the brim which could kink the Traveller's memory strip. If you pack it wet, unpack it and reshape it to dry.
