Bosca was founded in Springfield, Ohio, in 1911 by the Hugo
Bosca family. With strong connections in the Italian leather trade, they
import quality leather and leathergoods, as well as manufacture items themselves
to the highest European standards. Bosca is a family-owned and run company
with a reputation built on the quality of their products. Their headquarters
are in Ohio, their goods are now manufactured in company owned production facilities
in China and Italy.
All Bosca Accessories in Leather
The leather used in most of the items we offer from Bosca is their oak tanned
Old Leather -- Bosca's finest bovine leather. Oak tanning requires a lengthy
process, more costly than the chemical tanning commonly used today. Oak tanning
shrinks the leather, giving a tighter more dense structure, which stands up
to wear better. Cowhides are hand-stained in Italy and brought to a fine finish
to display the subtle variations in grain and color of the Old Leather. The
shine of the Old Leather is developed through polishing the leather itself,
rather than by applying an artificial top coat, and over time matures to a mellow

Fine leather deserves good care. We suggest a light coating of Pecard Leather Dressing every six months to help maintain the fine appearance of your Bosca items.
